CEO & Chief Medical Officer

Q. Who should have a MillenniumScan screening?
A. Men and Women over 30 years of age who are health conscious. People who have a sedentary lifestyle, or don't exercise 30 minutes, three times a week. This screening is highly recommended for smokers, history of cancer, heart disease, high blood pressure, head or chest pains, and diabetes.

Q. What kind of Machine does MillenniumScan use for Full Body scan?
A. We use the state of the art 64-slice Toshiba Aquillon. It is the most advanced Full Body Multislice CT Scanning ever produced with the ability to upgrade if further technology is developed.

Q. What is better for Full Body Scans EBCT or Multi Slice CT?
A. The difference between EBCT and Multi Slice CT is that EBCT is limited to taking pictures of the heart and lungs. Going beyond these anatomic areas produces images that are less than ideal clinical quality. The EBCT machine was inherently designed to only take images of the heart. Multi Slice CT is designed as a general-purpose diagnostic scanner that excels in all diagnostic areas from head (neuro), lung, cardiac, body, orthopedic, and vascular. Multi Slice CT scans has a proven history.

Q. What about Radiation exposure?
A. You will get about the same safe radiation exposure from a Millennium Full Body Scan as you would from a simple upper G.I study.

Q. Will my Insurance cover the test?
A. A routine Full Body Scan is currently not covered by insurance. If your physician refers you for medical testing, it should be covered by insurance. Patients without a physician referral will be asked for payment in full at time of service.

Q. Could a Full Body Scan be Tax Deductible?
A. You should check with your employer to see if they offer a Flexible Spending Account. The Flexible Spending Account is a company-sponsored benefit that allows an employee to participate in this plan by setting aside money through payroll deductions for medical expenses. This money is set-aside on a tax-free basis; therefore saving you money and giving you more tax-free spendable income.

Q. What scans are available, and how much do they cost?
A. Full Body Scan is $1000
CT Colon Scan is $895
Full Body/CT Colon Scan Package is $1595

Q. When will I get my results?
A. The screening will be discussed with you immediately after your scan. A written report will be mailed to you within a couple working days.

Q. Do you offer virtual colonscopy?
A. YYes, Millennium Scan does offer virtual colonoscopy. This is a test that is not part of the Full Body Scan. Recent studies have confirmed the beneficial role that the virtual colonscopy can play in early detection of colonic pol lops.
